Most students are very much excited to move into a dorm because of the freedom it presents to them. If you can relate to this, then you should know how to make your move right. Through this, you can ensure your comfort in your temporary nesting place when you completely settled in.
The first thing that you should do is to seek for help and advice. For always, the university will offer you an orientation package about our move. In addition to this though, you can also search for any student club or association that will be willing to assist you in your move and to acquaint you to new friends.
After you arrive in your dorm, you should first check out if your room is already clean. If you notice that there are still some grimes and mess inside, then you should keep your things outside first to clean the place. This way, your things will be safe from getting the dirt and possible pests. If you also noticed some intolerable damages, make sure to report them to the department to fix things out immediately.
Before you move, you should also check if you will need to bring your own utensils, cooking pan, and dish rags as well. In case you will be required to eat in cafeteria, then you will not need to bring those items for sure. To make your room more comfortable, you should also take time to decorate it once you have nestled in already.
